GECU Credit Union
Crystal Long is the President and Chief Executive Officer of GECU, in El Paso, Texas. Long has been with GECU for 37 years and previously served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer as well as other Executive positions. During her 37 years of service at GECU, Long has played an instrumental part in leading GECU to become El Paso’s largest independently owned financial institution with over $2.5 billion in assets and more than 800 employees serving over 360,000 member-owners.
Long is a member of the United Way Board of Directors and Human Resources Committee as well as Vice-chair of United Way’s Resource Development Committee. She serves as a member of the El Paso Community College Accounting and Business Advisory Board. She is a member of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce Board as well as Government Relations Division while also serving as a Foundation Trustee. She is a member of the Borderplex Alliance Board of Directors, a member of the Audit Committee and also serves on the Business Services Task Force. She is a member of the HOAP Board of Directors and is a Trustee for the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation. She is a member of the National Roundtable of CEO’s and has recently been appointed to serve as Chair of the World Council of Credit union’s Foundation WOCCU Fundraising Committee.
Long holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and joined the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions Board of Directors in 2017.
